CHILD CARE CENTRE AT CHARMAL(CCCC)
Charmal is a village which has a population of around 4000 people and most of them are from lower and lower middle class family .The main occupation of most of these villagers are to work as labourer in the paddy fields .In many cases, both husband and wife are the wage earners.Chidren of those families , in the age group of 2.5 to 5 yrs are the inmates of this Child Care Centre.The parents leave their children at 7.00 a.m. in the morning and by 1.30p.m. they pick up the children from the Centre.During this six hrs time the children are looked after by trained care taker.There is a teacher ,who looks after their pre-primary education too.The children are offered light meals in the mid day,which is cooked by a local cook in proper hygienic condition.
CCCC was established in June 2002 .Initially , there were only nine children and as on June 2006 there are 86 children who are the beneficiary of CCCC.

O.A.S.I.S. has started +2 Science and
Meanwhile, we have been working on getting land admeasuring 5 acres from Government
of Orissa to house the College permanently. We expect the land to be given to us
by The Tahasildar, Rairakhol in a month’s time.
A College at Charmal was long overdue, for almost 100 of children from poor families
from the village and the adjacent areas commute regularly with a lot of inconvenience
to study in Rairakhol College,
With a lot of enthusiasm, we have already started the College and we are committed to make the College a success. We propose to make the College purely residential and run it with charging minimum fees to the students who study here because most of the students are from backward class, whose parents/ guardians have hardly any financial resources to have a square meal a day.
Distribution of Saplings to House holds ( GO GREEN CAMPAIGN)
Under this scheme ,all those
house holds who has a yard , receives
five saplings each every year to grow, with a hope that the family will develop
a sense of social forestry and values of planting trees as well.
Till now, 120 households are covered under this scheme.
Annual Football Tournament of all High schools in Rairakhol Sub-division
Started in 2007, so far three tournaments are held
Annual Drawing Competition for Upper Primary School Children
