non-profit, voluntary citizens' group which is organized on a local
level i.e. at village Charmal of Sambalpur
district in the state of Orissa in
The members of O.A.S.I.S.have a common interest i.e. to perform a variety of service and humanitarian functions mainly directed towards the causes of children,women and elders in the Society .It works at the grassroot level with the communities in and around Sambalpur district.O.A.S.I.S. is a value-based organization which is completely dependent on charitable donations and voluntary service Thus ,its spectre of services is entirely dependent on the philosophy of altruism and voluntarism.
Aims & Objectives of O.A.S.I.S.as
per the Memorandum of Association :
a.To help the members of the Society to develop the ideals and standards for farming ,family life, community life,citizenship,leadership, responsibilities.
b.To create and foster community sense.
c.To organize formal and non-formal education programme for various groups.
d.To implant in the people a sense of social awareness through workshops,seminars, leadership camps,conference,training,teaching of Yoga and meditation.
e.To undertake social service activities for the deprived sections of the society by establishing Day Care Centres,Balwadis,running medical aid centres, running immunization programmes ,etc.
f.To build up character and health.
g.To inject discipline and self-help.
h.To induce in the women of the locality the true sense of morality and systematic and harmonious way of living.
i.To develop scientific and persevering attitude.
j.To participate in co-operative efforts.
k.To coordinate all the organizations with noble aims and objectives.
l.Organise socio-economic programme for children,women,non-student and educational youth.
m.Organise socio-spiritual service camps for developing courage,conduct and concentration in the people.
n.Impart vocational training for strengethening the idea of self employment and co-existence in the young men and women particularly.
